about

16 Singing Bowls One Shot Samples, Royalty-Free, Commercial use.

It's just the singing bowl sound in each frequency of the scale. There are 2 tracks per frequency: the bowl just striked 1 time ("Bowl Hit"), and the bowl rimmed ("Bowl Turning" is circling the bowl with a mallet - this track is loopable).

These audio tracks will be usefull if you want to create your own meditation pieces or modify the delivered tracks in the bundle. Or these sounds can be added to any existing audio.

Additionally, some meditators or yoga practitioners find it less distracting to listen to Singing Bowls sounds alone.

The Enchanting World of Singing Bowls and the Suddha Svaras Scale

Singing bowls, also known as Himalayan or Tibetan singing bowls, have a rich cultural and spiritual history that spans centuries. Originating from the Himalayan regions, particularly Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, and Northern India, these bowls are revered for their unique ability to produce captivating sounds that promote healing, relaxation, and meditation.

This article explores the intricate art of singing bowls, delving into their origins, craftsmanship, and the profound connection to the Suddha Svaras scale from India.

I. Origins and Craftsmanship:

A. Historical Roots:

Tibetan Influence:

Dating back to ancient Tibetan civilizations, singing bowls were initially crafted for ceremonial and religious practices.

Spread Across Asia:

Over time, the art of making singing bowls spread to neighboring regions, including Nepal and Northern India.

B. Materials and Construction:

Metallurgical Composition:

Traditional singing bowls are made from an alloy of various metals, such as copper, tin, and traces of other elements, contributing to their unique resonance.

Hand Hammering:

Skilled artisans use traditional methods of hand-hammering to shape the bowls, ensuring each piece is a unique work of art.

II. The Suddha Svaras Scale:

A. Introduction to Suddha Svaras:

Indian Musical Tradition:

Derived from the ancient Indian musical tradition, Suddha Svaras represent the seven pure musical notes forming the foundation of classical music.

Link to Chakras:

Each Suddha Svara is associated with a specific chakra, contributing to a holistic approach to well-being.

B. The Seven Tones:

Sa (Shadja): The root note, representing the foundation and grounding energy.

Ri (Rishabha): The second note, associated with emotional balance and creativity.

Ga (Gandhara): The third note, linked to the throat chakra and communication.

Ma (Madhyama): The fourth note, symbolizing compassion and heart-centered energy.

Pa (Panchama): The fifth note, representing transformation and solar plexus energy.

Dha (Dhaivata): The sixth note, associated with intuition and the third eye chakra.

Ni (Nishada): The seventh note, symbolizing connection to higher consciousness.

III. The Harmony of Singing Bowls and Suddha Svaras:

A. Resonance and Healing:

Harmonic Overtones:

Singing bowls produce harmonic overtones that align with the Suddha Svaras, creating a harmonious blend of frequencies.

Chakra Alignment:

The tones generated by singing bowls are believed to align and balance the energy centers, or chakras, in the body.
